This video dramatically reenacts a union card signing campaign, including union telephone solicitation, home visits, in-house organizing, peer pressure and intimidation.

Sign on the Dotted Line shows workers that simply by signing the card or petition they can be hiring the union as their legal representative "in all matters pertaining to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment and other conditions of employment."

Workers are reminded that with a sufficient number of signed cards, a union can be recognized by the NLRB as the representative of every employee without any vote.

This video:

  • Is excellent as part of an employee orientation program
  • Clearly explains to employees the repercussions of joining a union
  • Shows how employees can exercise their legal right to resist unionization

** This is also available in Railway Labor Act version. **
