Covers the most common hand tools and their proper applications. The importance of a clean working environment, preventive maintenance on machinery, and using the correct tool for each job is covered in detail. Also covered are how to check power cords for defects, sharpening and replacing saw blades, and correct body position when using equipment. Safety First: Welding Shop Safety
Specific protective gear for welders is examined in detail. The necessity of having a good attitude and concentrating on the task you are performing are also discussed. Also covers the basics of testing lines for leaks, attaching gauges to tanks, and adjusting pressure settings to proper levels.
