Recent headlines have added a new dimension to the diversity challenges faced in today's workplace. Though we know that diversity strengthens the organization, there are now new concerns and fears associated with people from different cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds.

This thought provoking program, Diversity Now, has been created to acknowledge and address some of these unfortunate effects of terrorism. While acknowledging new fears and concerns, the video effectively exposes the problems caused by stereotypical thinking and biased behaviors.

Diversity Now tells the story of a small group of diverse co-workers confronting concerns and fears associated with people from cultures different from their own and reconfirming the importance of maintaining a culture free of biases and false assumptions. Their lessons and realizations provide the training points for an updated and inspirational diversity training session.

The program begins with a small focus group of employees assisting in the updating of their company's diversity policy. As they tackle the process, they grapple with the many new fears associated with acts of terrorism as well as some long standing biases and misperceptions. Through their interactions and direct experiences during the meeting, they are able to confront many of these issues and use their new knowledge to define and reinforce their standards for a culture that embraces a diverse workforce.
